When do you take time to reflect on your day?

Posted on Jan 9th, 2009 by mimi : MOONCHILD mimi
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 09, 2009:

Fried_eggs
I'm not sure who thinks up these questions, but some of them leave me scratching my head.  Do people actually do this (each) day?  Does someone think we should - like flossing daily? And what is this business of "take/taking time".  Like one has to schedule reflection?

To me, this is a question from left field.  Not even sure what it means, and am not getting any mental or emotional picture/vibe from it.  So maybe I better not try to "answer" or make a comment about it.

Oh sure, I could go on about "the moment" or "the now", but why?  either you do it or you don't, and my talking about it is useless in the end.   So I think I will shut up and now and go and fry some eggs and fill the bird feeders, and do something useful.

Me, too… I live in my head a lot and wish that could stop reflecting on things once in a while!

I love it when I get twin yolks. Remember those tiny eggs….weren’t they called pullets?  Eggs make me reflect too.

I could write a whole blog about eggs.  My Mom always used to talk about pullets.  If they are small eggs, modern consumers would not want them, no we have to have the new improved giant eggs

Glad to make you giggle gleefully, bb.  I love you. (((hugs))

Hey ingebrita, it’s better not to think too much, just live in the world.  Thanks for taking time to comment.  Hopefully, you can learn to still your mind.  It will make you so much lighter.

ok, so now I am reflecting on why I do/did not know what a pullet is :-) A small egg is…well, a small egg

Yikes!  pass the tofu, sprouts,  lentils, and TVP.
There are lots of ugly parts to food production.
Maybe we should stop eating the “unborn young” of chickens.

Eggs.
It doesn’t matter how you cook them eggs
I’d be gladder if someone took them eggs
Because they remind me of my chicken
And I’d rather have my chicken than eggs

Oh, I got a mind to ramble
I got an egg to scramble
I think that those eggs are swell
But keep them honkies in their shell
Those eggs

That’s all it is
Just nothin’ but a song about eggs!

rofl I got here after reading Martha’s blog. And I love your attitude here.

Tom, you can have my [our] ovulation; just know there’s strings attached to it, strings that loads of women didn’t sign up to but learn to live with quite honourably I must say!

Yeh, I got stumped for a deep, meaningful response to this one so, like you Mimi, I moved on. I’m drinking beer today to help slow reflection down, if even for a bit! I’d like to get out of this habit of reflecting and get to only being!

On its way, I suspect :)

Having a great laugh with ya. Sherri

Hey Hey Sherri,
thanks for your comments and keeping the merriment going.
Sometimes “meaningful, wise or insightful” just isn’t happening for me.
I think a little levity does a good job to help people bond.
thanks all for joining in.
PS – Tom, you would faint if you ovulated.  Remember PMS?  Women in France who murder get off if they committed the crime  when they have PMS.  (urban legend?)
