I am posting this Snooky Lanson video to show the difference one year made in 1950's music. We went from Snooky to Jerry Lee. No wonder our parents were horrified at the raunchy guys like Jerry Lee and Elvis that their teenage daughters were swooning over.

50's Music: "Hot Diggity" - Snooky Lanson

silly double standards all the time. I'll bet your mom wanted to have sex with elvis.
oh gosh, not my mother, well not in the 50's when girls were supposed to save themselves for The Wedding Night. No one talked about s-e-x. No one even said that word.
Women would say:
“he got her pregnant” or “he tried to 'get funny' with her” or my favourite one “he tried to stick 'his thing' in her.” - that one still makes me laugh big time.
Snooky is kinda cute …
Snooky was “the boy next door” on the show. Kinda the Van Johnson type.
Russell Arms was the “romantic handsome” one, though I didn't think he was.
This is probably way way before your time, but thanks for your interest in my nostalgia ;>)
