What is your wish for this month?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 01, 2008:

World peace please. I had nightmares as a child about war and Hitler. I was born in 1942. I went to school at age 5 and learned all about Hitler. We could help the war effort by the "Stamp Out Hitler" program. It was a war bonds thing - you put in $4.50 and in 5 years, your bond would be worth $5.00. Once a week, we had war bond day. We brought our nickels and dimes. For every 10 cents you put in, you got to "Stamp out Hitler: on a card with individual postage stamp size faces of Hitler. You got your pencil and poked a hole in his face with the eraser end of the pencil. Wow! it was such fun.
I grew up on war movies in the late 40's - John Wayne, Audie Murphy, John Hodiak, Aldo Ray fighting the German. I remained afraid of Germans for about 40 years. Nightmares about war stopped after 40 years.
World peace for sure - this month and every month.
"Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me."

we are the source of change –
Hi Mimi, I grew up having terrible nightmares about running from the Nazis. Hundreds of them, maybe thousands. They stopped after doing deep spiritual work for over two decades, although every once in a while they randomly pop up again. Your prayer for wolrd peace sounds really great. I usually think that it happens first in us; then the world will reflect that awakening.
I'm with you, Mimi. I grew up with Hitler's bombs…
Thanks for stopping by Peter. I would bet Hitler would rank pretty high on the Scariest Person Ever in the World. It took me 50+ years to recover from “Hitler”.
