What do you want to be thankful for?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 27, 2008:
An odd question that implies something in the future, something unattainable now. I scratched my head a few times. Why would thankfulness be a future event? My head hurt thinking, thinking. No more thinking, this is it. Apply within.

Help

Yes, I guess that it doesn't really make sense for thankfulness to be a future event. What if the event never happens? It seems better to be thankful for what you have, live in the present and let things flow as they do. Then be thankful for whatever good (or bad) you have.
Sometimes I like the now I'm in so much that I don't even want another one.
Yeah, I think we should forget that 100,000,000 years. It seems a little hard to grasp that concept, Mimi. :)
Be thankful now.
No waiting
If not now, when?
now is the only time we have……<3
Over the years, I have heard friends say, “I'll be so glad (thankful?) when
–the kids grow up and move out
–and the dog dies and then I can get nice new furniture
–when I don't have to go to work everyday
We may dream of another reality that we falsely assume is going to be so much better. Life unfolds without our guidance and stamp of approval. The dog lives and keeps peeing on the rug , more coffee and salsa gets spilled on the couch. The kids lose their job and come back home with their dog. It's all ok in the end. Pass the salsa…:>)
Hi Erica,
I think you said it perfectly in a way anyone can understand.
Hey maze, it is always wonderful to join you in your nows
Hey Centria - whoo hoo! sometimes is just feels or seems like 100,000, 000 years
Thanks Boundless for your nows.
Nice one Mimi!
I don't want to be thankful. I just am:-)
I love this question. I want to be thankful for more questions like this. In fact, I already am. That was fast work.
