Buy Canadian!

What happens when and if the Federal government sends each one of us a $600 rebate as was done in the US?

If we spend it at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline, the money will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India.

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala

If we purchase a  car, it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the Canadian economy.

The only way to keep the money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes, weed, beer and tattoos since these are the only products still produced in CANADA
.

Thank you for your help and please support your country!

Sorry, Mimi, but we also produce some of the dumbest, super anal idiot politicians around - wonder if we could set up some sort of a deal to trade them!!! LOL

We probably spend more money on keeping them in their ivory towers than we do on weed, beer and tattoos across the country (couldn't count the prostitutes, because in a way the polticians are also prostitutes - to the whims of their fat-cat Corporate “johns”).

(Wrote a whole bunch more about “weed”, but decided it was lack of sleep grouchiness and not really fitting with your topic).

Hugs and love!

#1 Draft pick……hmmmmm…  - don't watch hockey, so I'm not sure if it would be a hockey player that I'd trade for the politicians.  Wouldn't want to draft O'Bama because the folks in the States really need him.  Certainly don't think the folks there want our political idiots - they have enough of their own!  After the Phillies win the World series, maybe we could trade off a couple poliicians to get Pat Gillick back here so the Jays could win next year?  It was Pat that helped the Jay's beat the Phillies back in 1993 - now he's helping the Phillies beat the Ray's.  Sort of poetic, that!!!  :o)

Actually Mississauga has some good Toronto style Maple Leafs (not the hockey ones ;) ) so we really don't need to travel all the way to Montreal, eh!  The Canuck Feds need to make possession for personal use legal - and then figure out how to take the action away from the criminals and make money on it - it would certainly put a dent in crime turf wars, and lots of people would be a lot happier!

We  don't worry about the cold because we have Grow Houses here = in fancy subdivisions where there are $300,000 homes.   there are probably several grow houses in every neighbourhood.  The police are always raiding them.  Just normal houses in normal neighbourhoods.  Grow houses are usually bulldozed, even the brand new onesbecause of humidity causing mold.

“Marijuana Grow Houses can exist in rural and urban areas and can operate out of residential homes, apartments or industrial units.  There are an estimated 15,000 grow operation in Ontario alone.Organized crime organizations favour renting or purchasing 2 storey homes of 3,000 to 4,000 sq.ft. and turning them into green houses for growing Marijuana.  This would mean that an average neighbourhood could have 1 to 2 grow ops ...

These homes or industrial units are operated at a minimum of 27 degrees celsius with a sustained relative humidity of 80% or higher.  The end result is an excessive amount of mould growth often hidden inside wall or ceiling systems.”

Wow!  That's amazing about the grow houses in Ontario!  You Canadians are an amazing bunch!  However, I don't think that all your idiot politicians together could equal the brainlessness, denseness, doltishness, dopiness, dullness (also dulness), dumbness, fatuity, foolishness, mindlessness, oafishness, obtuseness, senselessness, simpleness, slowness, stupidness, vacuity, witlessness (and also Related Words) absurdity, asininity, balminess, craziness, daftness, folly, inanity, insanity, lunacy, madness, nonsensicalness, preposterousness, fallaciousness, irrationality, and unreasonableness of our President, Mr. George W. Bush!  God Bless America!  :)

Palin is murdering the English language too.  I heard her say this:
“it incentifies ……..
“his admittance that he has ….”
Honestly, I heard her “conversating” about it.

Yes, Palin has demonstrated a real knack for “inventiveness” where the English language is concerned - but looking at Martha's list, I'd say our Prime Minister “Steve” Harper runs a close second to GWB on most of those counts.  Anyone, and especially during an election campaign really taken over by the worst economic hit since 1929, who would have the idiocy to tell voters to “go out and buy stocks” because the price was good, doesn't demonstrate too much in the brains department, in my thinking.  Since he claims to lean heavily on advice from his Finance Minister Flaherty, this certainly gives licence to the idea that we should have had another party leading this country after our elections.  Which doesn't bode well for the fact that a little over a third of Canadians voted for them.:(

It's unfortunate, but that also shows why we are being gradually taken over by the idiots of the world, when we invite them to lead us.  Buying Canadian would also include, in my book, buying into a real Canadian Government, not a has-been clone of what the US just went through!

Just my humble opinion, of course. :)

it's been years since i smoked weed but I do have a minuscule tattoo and I sure like my beer (Micro breweries and the dependable Labatt Blue). I buy a lot of stuff locally. The market is close and many other things like clothes can be found made in Canada too. It's more work but pays off for all of us in the end, that said I have bought a crapload of stuff made everywhere too.
Funny ,spell check is telling me that I spelled crapload wrong

Hi Mimi, lol you are right there!!! Spend it on heritage seeds and fruit trees, and grow your own, then if you save seeds yearly to replant you will save a fortune each year thereafter

I always save seeds of particularly delicious yellow or red  cherry tomatoes - dry them, or in winter just throw them into my outdoor planters to freeze over the winter.  In the spring, hundreds of small tomato plants emerge.  I live in in a seniors building and just pot up small plants in spring, put them in the common room for people to take.  They all disappear fast.  I remember my grandmother saving cucumber seeds, flower seeds - I still harvest flower seeds every year - 8 o'clocks being one of my favourites.

Hey Hey Samme,
Come to Ontario, where we are very civilized.  Same sex marriage is legal in Ontario.  We have a Liberal Premier who also made outdoor clotheslines legal again.
http://www.ontariodivorces.com/marriage-same-sex-couples.html

Toronto, Ontario is home to Gay Pride Week, a huge event each year, where gay people from all over the world gather. The highlight is the Parade where even the mayors participate.  This year for the first time, gay members of the military marched IN UNIFORM, as did gay police officers.  Check it out!! ;>)
