What gets you out of bed in the morning?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2008:
It's one or the other.--- the soft morning sun streaming in gently, or a Big Freaking Hot Flash- the kind that makes you bolt upright in bed instantly and start ripping off your pj's while the heat travels up to make your head explode in fiery tendrils and you feel your ankles getting all hot and sweaty, and then there's the feeling of doom that accompanies it. I much prefer the soft songs of the birds cheerily chipping their morning songs, the gentle breezes blowing my curtains and letting in the first streams of golden pink light. Either one leads me to the kitchen, my French coffee press, and fresh ground coffee. Aaaah, that's better.

Help

This is a real answer. Did you perchance see Stacy's (friendstacy) answer? She has to pee. Me too. Ocassionally it is the cat wanting attention or to be fed. Gosh, I wish you lived nearer. I'd love to stop by for a french-press coffee and chat. I love you Mimi … like my good luggage ! tehe tehe
Mimi..where did you get this picture of me? I thought all copies had been burned.
too funny, and not all at the same time - life is grand!
Woah! Thanks for the re-minder to bypass hot flashes. LOL
I'm loving the visual!
I'm also laughing at Aley's comment. :-)

check out my zaadz friend carla…she has the same love you do….fresh ground french beans.
Mimi, come on over for a cup! Where do you get your beans? Mine are roasted in Rockland, Maine, grown in Ethiopia. Do you make yours one cup at a time, or use a thermos pot?
DC
ooooo, I'd love to come over and have coffee with you. We could stack some wood. I have experience at stacking. I get my beans everywhere - Starbucks, A&P, Tim Hortons, the hospital coffee bar(Kenyan coffee bean-I talked the guy into selling me beans). i brought lots of beans home from Costa Rica (they roasted them right there on the street in huge red machines). The best coffee I ever had was Blue Mountain from Jamaica (it costs about $80/lb here). I like fresh -made coffee, medium dark roast, with a bold taste upfront. I make it one cup at a time in my luxurious Starbucks coffee press - a gift to me. Maybe one day we will share a cuppa.
Ankles getting sweaty?
Omigoodness…is that like your teeth itching and hair feeling cold?
LOL =)
MMmmm…coffeee…. ;-)
And that expensive coffee is expensive because some animal (I think it's a cat or something) eats the beans and then poops it out. No, really!
“the kind that makes you bolt upright in bed instantly and start ripping off your pj's while the heat travels up to make your head explode “
Nice.. I'll have whatever you're having…: )
Ha! Ha! Love the picture. I haven't had hot flashes yet and am certainly not looking forward to them either! Eeeeks. Could I offer you some ice to go with the coffee????
Hug, Ayla
YAY french coffee

Come ooooooon dooooooown!
The Mimi's Magical Mystery Tour is still out there - coffee included
I am thinking hard on it
you are so sweet mimi
oh but you forgot the part where your scalp has been sweating so much in the night that the pillowcase sticks to your face. that was real fun…. NOT!
Jamaican Blue Mountain has to be the best coffee on the planet. but I can't justify the expense. maybe that's what I'll ask for my birthday!!
